Human Rights White 2023
With all the craziness happening in the world at the moment, we think it’s important do our part to help out in whatever small way we can in supporting causes that defend basic human rights. Our hope is this wine offers a nice reprieve from distressing news headlines while making an impact. It’s a super fun wine beyond the message as well—a juicy and robustly bodied conferment of white grapes with cider apple pomace.
This year we’ve chosen to donate $1 from each bottle sold to each of these three organizations—National Network of Abortion Funds, International Rescue Committee, and Human Rights Campaign— doing critical and prescient work to support human rights under threat at the moment (Yes, that’s right $3 from every bottle is donated, this isn’t some BS where it’s 1% of profits or something, we actually want to be able to contribute a consequential amount and encourage you to help match our donation when you purchase directly from us).

Maturation Process/Winemakers Notes: White wine portion started the same as our yet-to-be-releases reserve white. The wine became slightly damaged through the breakdown of gross lees in a secondary fermentation within a concrete egg, at which point it was returned to stainless steel to re-settle and split into the two batches of wine. This batch received apple pomace to re-ferment and revive fruity elements. Rather than pressed apple juice, the pomace was left in the tank for a few weeks adding to the mouthfeel and robustness of fruity flavors. Aged three months in stainless steel before sulfiting to .8ppm free sulfur and bottling.
